Meet Marc Brooks
Marc Brooks is the co-owner of Brooks CPR. He is a critical care nurse with 17 years of experience working in ICUs, emergency nursing, telemetry, and medicine. He spent 11 years working in Surgical ICUs where he focused on liver and kidney transplants and plastic surgery flaps.
A Philadelphia native, Marc joined the Naval Submarine Force at 17 years old just out of high school. After his Navy service, Marc studied Nursing at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) for one year before pausing his college career and moving to Seville, Spain. After exploring Spain for a year, Marc returned to the U.S. to complete his nursing degree at IUP. With his new degree, he moved to New York City to work at New York University (NYU) as a Medical-Surgical nurse. Eager to learn more and help more patients, Marc started working at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Now you can find Marc in Bergenfield, New Jersey, enjoying being a devoted father to his two children, Scarlett and Skye. After living in Bergenfield for the past 15 years, Marc is proud to be a resident of this growing New Jersey borough. With his extensive nursing background, Marc wanted to share his knowledge with others passionate about healthcare. This led to the start of Brooks CPR.
Our Beginning
In 2017, Marc started Brooks CPR with a good friend, long-time coworker, and fellow Bergenfield resident, Daryl. With their combined experience and passion for quality healthcare, the two nurses knew they could offer their wealth of knowledge to the community. Marc and Daryl are strong believers in the impact of community and long-term participants in community service. When they started Brooks CPR, they used these beliefs to guide how they manage their company and how they do business. The two continue to focus on community and providing accessible and comprehensive education at their three locations in Hackensack, NJ; Newark, NJ; and Staten Island, NY.

Our ECC training is available to individuals, businesses, and organizations. With our convenient locations and fair pricing, anyone can take our classes.
Our training philosophy is to provide an educational experience that fully prepares students for their certification exams and skills tests. We structure our classes in a way that allows active engagement in the lesson and hands-on learning. We also believe that a practice-while-you-watch approach is one of the most effective ways to learn. Our goal is for each of our students to leave the classroom feeling confident in their abilities. At Brooks CPR, your continued success is our number one priority.
Our Guarantee
The Brooks CPR guarantee is that you can receive certification in anything from BLS to ACLS within 24 hours of registering for the class. What this means is that after you take our class, you will have everything you need to pass the American Heart Association (AHA) exam and our skills validation test, if needed. You won’t need to worry about taking multiple classes or studying outside of the classroom. If you register for a same-day class, you’ll be able to get certified in 24 hours or less. When you choose Brooks CPR as your instructor, you are guaranteed to receive a complete education that sets you up for success.
Our Courses
Brooks CPR offers all of the courses you need to get your certification. We teach BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses for renewals and original certifications. We also provide combination classes so you can get certifications in multiple disciplines at once. If you want to become an instructor, we teach a BLS instructor course. For convenience, our courses are available to take online, but you will need to do an in-person skills validation test to get certified. Most of our classes are offered daily to work with each person’s unique schedule. You can schedule corporate courses for your business or in-home group classes for friends and family. Whether you are a healthcare provider, a first responder, a teacher, or a new parent, Brooks CPR has the course you need to learn effective emergency cardiovascular care.
