To help individuals complete their CPR certification, we provide training courses for expectant parents, business groups, and in-home caregivers. CPR training offers efficient response exercises that could save the life of an adult or child in an emergency. Here are some of the steps involved in becoming CPR certified:
Explore Different CPR Classes
Some of the CPR certification courses we teach provide more than just CPR training. We also offer training for automated external defibrillator (AED) use and choking relief for adults and children. An AED device is useful for emergency situations where someone has gone into cardiac arrest. These courses provide comprehensive education for families with small children or elderly relatives.
You can choose to take hands-only CPR training or breath and hands CPR certification courses. Our family-focused trainings explain how to deliver aid to children and infants, as well as how to safely provide relief from choking. The process for infant CPR is similar to adult CPR, but the breaths and compressions are given more gently.
In emergency situations, individuals may freeze when they are unsure of how to help someone. Our trained professionals will teach you how to stay calm in these high-pressure scenarios and deliver immediate care. CPR can save lives because it allows you to render aid while you wait for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to arrive.
Schedule Your Course
To schedule your group course, you can contact Brooks CPR by calling, emailing, or filling out our online contact form. Our hours of operation are 10 A.M. to 10 P.M., seven days a week. Full class capacity is eight individuals. If there are three or fewer reservations for a specific class, we may need to reschedule the course for a time when more students are available.
The timeframe for each course may differ depending on the type of class you have selected. More advanced courses like advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BSL) can take between three to eight hours to complete. We also offer renewal courses for these certifications for healthcare providers.
Receive CPR Certification
At the end of the course, you will be tested on your knowledge of providing life-saving care. Once you pass this exercise, you will receive a certificate of completion. Each certification is good for two years. At the end of the two years, you will need to renew your certificate by completing the course again.
These renewal courses provide consistent training for healthcare professionals, daycare assistants, and caregivers. We offer group courses for business organizations so that staff members can keep their CPR qualifications up-to-date. Business teams will learn how to work together, delegating responsibilities and task management to provide efficient care.
